How to Book if You Need a Jewelry Appraisal
There is a variety of reasons why you might actually need an appraisal. Below see the steps to booking for one!
STEP 1 : BOOK A PRE-APPRAISAL APPOINTMENT
You need to bring in your items in advance of appraising so we can:
- Quickly assess if gems and/or metals are genuine or not.
- Tell you how much the appraisal of each piece will cost.
- Confirm the date by which your appraisals will be complete.
You will book your Pre-Appraisal Appointment based on how many pieces you are bringing in. Read below and choose the right booking link!
STEP 2 : LEAVE ITEMS TO BE APPRAISED
It could be you'll be ready to check-in your items for appraisal during your Pre-Appraisal Appointment. That's cool--we'll check in your items, and provide you with claim checks including photos of your items.
We can also take notes, and you can return later, which is covered in Step 2-1/2...in the next block.
STEP 2-1/2 : BRING YOUR ITEMS BACK LATER
Some people need to talk to their insurance agent, or just want to think a bit before they check-in their items with us.
Also cool! Just book your Check-In Appointment based on how many pieces you'll be bringing in.
We will tell you the estimated finish date when you come in for your Check-In Appointment, since our queue changes.
pre-appraisal assessment
for 3 or Fewer Pieces
This only takes 15 minutes, but is strictly limited to 3 pieces.
Booking a Pre-Appraisal Assessment for 4 or more pieces
You will need to book a Professional Jewelry Box Review, which gives you an hour of time with our Graduate Gemologist.
If you leave at least 4 pieces with us to be appraised, you will not be charged the $150 service fee.
