This one-of-a-kind piece merges the history of ancient Greek coinage and contemporary jewelry design. Originating from the city of Parion in the Mysia Region, this coin dates back to c. 350-300 BC. The front of this coin features a Gorgon, Medusa, with a protruding tongue and slithering snakes around her head. It is said that gorgons appeared on these coins to frighten the enemy and warn others "not to mess with our city". The fascinating features of this pendant do not stop there, as the back of the coin portrays a bull with his head turned while standing over grapes. If you have a love for history or mythology, this piece may be the perfect addition to your collection!
