This exposure, coupled with her formal education in stone setting and goldsmithing, sparked Starr's creative passion, particularly in the realm of fine jewelry.
From a modest workspace in her unfinished Atlanta basement, Starr progressed to establish her studio in Westside Atlanta's Strongbox West. Embracing a holistic approach to learning, she honed her skills through mentorship, hands-on training, and the insights gleaned from invaluable textbooks. Starr dedicated herself to achieving a professional level of expertise, undergoing courses with esteemed figures such as master stone setter Blaine Lewis at The New Approach for Jewelers, master wax carver Kate Wolf, and Brooklyn-based jewelry designer Erin Considine.
