ladha was born from a desire to create timeless and versatile jewelry inspired by worldly and fearless women.
Lindsay is a California native who was raised by strong women who traveled the globe, and taught her to appreciate cultural aesthetics and all things artistic. She grew up admiring the many precious and wearable treasures that would later be handed down as family heirlooms. Her hope is to create elegant and understated jewelry that evokes a sense of worldliness.
“ladha” is the Swahili word for Flavor, synonymous with pleasure, taste and joy. As we dress ourselves our jewelry serves as “seasoning” and helps to bring out our true personality and individual style. The intent behind Lindsay’s designs is to promote self expression and confidence. Her jewelry allows the wearer to shine as they move through the world, flaunting their unique flavor.
All jewelry is made by hand with love in Lindsay’s Oakland, California studio.
